Besides serving as president and chief executive officer of Sequent Insurance Group LLC, Bernd G. Heinze, Esq., CLU, is the executive director of the American Association of Managing General Agents. A widely respected lawyer and expert in insurance litigation, Heinze has been named one of the 100 Most Powerful People in the Insurance Industry—North America by the Insurance Letter and Insurance Distribution Magazine every year since 2001. Since 1983, he has been an equity trial partner in the nation's largest insurance defense firm. He previously served as general counsel to the claims and litigation management division of a Fortune 500 insurance company. Heinze has been conducting insurance-related seminars and courses since 1987.
